Eating at regular times  during the day helps burns calories at faster rate,Normally 
it also reduces the tempetation to snack on food high in fat  and sugar.A calorie is a unit of energy. In nutrition, calories refer to the energy people get from the food and drink they consume, and the energy they use in physical activity.so that about 10% of calories eaten are used for digesting food and taking in nutrients,so calories will be inadequates which would result to weight loss.










Calories can lead to weight gain if they are present at high amount in the body,Remmember when we eat and drink more calories than we use up ,our bodies  store the excess as body.Also calories can be affected by the following factors:-


•Age 
•Sex
•Environmental temperature
•Energy expenditure
•Pregnancy
•hormonal status

Age:-As you age ,you need fewer calories ,because once you increase age ,your muscle mass gradually decreases while  the proportion of fat increases.Since muscle tissue burns more  calories than fat,you will need fewer calories to maintain your usual weight.Children require more calories due to during a growth spurt ,require higher amount of calories to maintain the body as well as to grow.The daily recommendation caloric for children is  100cal/kg/day for infants,80cal/kg/day for 1 to 3 years,70cal/kg/day for 4 to 5 years,and more than 9years needs 35-45cal/kg/day.
Sex:-In this situation can occur men burn about 101 calories during sex or 4.2calories during sex while women burned about 69 calories during sex or  3.1 calories per minute this will lead to big  different in calories among two gender male and female.
Environmental temperature:-During heat your body tend to burn more calories due to sweat factor which help regulate its temperature your body usually sweat more when working out in hot condition.And during the cold body's first response to shiver ,it envetually makes and activates enough brown fat to take over heat producing responsibilies ,in other case  your body is burning extra calories in response to cold.
Enegy expenditure:when energy expenditure exceeds energy intake ,energy balance is negative and lead to weight loss,when intake equal to expenditure ,equillibrium results and body fat is maintained regadless of whether the body weight is at ,above ,or below normal.
Pregnancy:-During pregnancy much calories needed because to support a full term pregnancy and for the development of  fetal and placental growth.
Hormones:-Also hormones influence energy expenditure or the number of calories your body burns on daily basis ,For this reason fluctuations in hormone level may lead to weight gain or loss as well as body fat accumulation in specific areas.












Other ways of reducing weight include the following:-

•Drink plenty of water

•Do not ban food

•Eat high fibre foods

•Cut down an alcohol

•Don"t skip breakfast

•Set a weight loss target.

•Eat more veggies

•Conduct exercises.
